From ISBN to Barcode
Every commercially published book carries an ISBN, and on the cover that number appears as a scannable barcode. Modern ISBNs are 13 digits long and begin with the Bookland prefixes 978 or 979. Those prefixes were reserved so that books could join the global EAN-13 retail system, which means an ISBN-13 is a valid EAN-13 number. The same check digit math applies, so the barcode you generate here scans at any retail till exactly like a product barcode. This tool takes your ISBN-13, accepts it with or without hyphens, and draws the matching Bookland EAN-13 symbol with the human-readable ISBN printed above the bars. You control the scale and bar height, then export a clean PNG or SVG for your cover file. Because the output follows ISO 2108 and EAN conventions, the result works for trade distribution, bookstore checkout, and warehouse scanning. For a general retail symbol you can use the EAN-13 Barcode Generator, and for other symbologies the Barcode Generator covers the full set.
